ECHOES Public Launch audience

The ECHOES public launch event was held on Monday the 9th September and was a great success with over 300 people attending both in person at the Castle of Chambord, Loir-et-Cher, France and online (via Zoom).  There were several speakers with two very inspiring key note presentations from Sally Chambers of DARIAH about turning library collections into data and Livio De Luca,  from CNRS, who explained how the nDame initiative has  resulted in a multi-dimensional cross-disciplinary knowledge-base about the Notre Dame cathedral before and after restoration.

ARIADNE is representing the archaeology interests in the European Content Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH) and encourages all archaeological organisations to get involved through ECHOES which will be responsible for a rolling programme of  calls for proposals. The first round of grants will be announced in December and focuses on data with funding of € 60,000 per project for 12 projects in total.

Currently, there are five open calls that focus on the development of tools and methods using the cloud services of ECCCH:

All the requirements for submitting a proposal are available on the official website.
